Tyre Pressure Sensors
Tyre Pressure Sensors
Clamason produces a range of components for Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), and production demand for these has increased dramatically since legislation declared that (as of 1st November 2014) any new vehicle registered in the EU must have a TPMS safety device fitted.
The components produced at our factories in the UK and Slovakia vary depending on whether they are to be assembled to the vehicle or connected directly inside the tyre.
Vehicle mounted components are produced in cold-formed structural steel (S275 / S355 / S420) and sub-assembled with a weld or clinch stud.
The parts are then coated for corrosion resistance using electrophoretic paint which provides 1000 hours of resistance against salt-spray. Alternatively, tyre mounted components are manufactured in either stainless steel or brass using our high-speed stamping Bruderer presses.
