Active Safety / Autonomous Vehicles
Clamason Industries is involved in the design and development of a range of brackets for the active safety sector, which are the automotive systems that use an understanding of the state of the vehicle to both avoid and minimise the effects of a crash, such as braking systems, traction control systems and electronic stability control systems.
Other active safety systems include forward-looking, sensor-based systems such as advanced driver-assistance systems, for example adaptive cruise control and collision warning/avoidance/mitigation systems.
The brackets are used to position a range of devices for Radar, LiDAR and Vision systems around the vehicle in particularly challenging areas. They are specially designed to allow them to be fine-tuned whilst on the vehicle, to ensure they achieve the desired results.
Produced in both our UK and Slovakia factories using a range of different tooling and assembly methods, Clamason uses a semi-automated 100% quality control system to ensure consistent product quality when supplying these safety critical components.
